How my fitness journey began
My life as fitness professional
Working with individuals to get the health related results they’re looking for.
The path to being a health & fitness professional.
I was never the sporty kid in school and so it was a surprise to me and my family when I took up rowing in 2000 whilst at Bournemouth University. From here my confidence had a chance to lay down some roots and start building. It was also the gateway to me learning what it was like to complete a challenging workout, learn a new skill and share that experience with others. It is from here my fascination with all things health and fitness could flourish.
I completed my marketing degree and spent 15 years experiencing office life as an events manager. Developing all kinds of skills and the one I can complimented on the most, my people skills.
For the past three years I have been employed at Nuffield Health gym in Guildford, here I have built up a range of new experiences and skills. It has confirmed that I love working with people, that I love to feel helpful and that regular exercise is good for our physical and mental health.
I created Taskmaster Fitness to help others find their route to physical activity (sport or chores), provide guidance and support for weight training (at every age) and ultimately allow people to see how useful their bodies are.
What People Are Saying
“
Rachel is a first class PT instructor. She is extremely knowledgeable, very encouraging and will adapt a programme to suit the individuals capabilities. Rachel makes you work hard but the rewards are well worth the effort. Combined with her life coach skills I can’t recommend her highly enough

“
Rachel has been a huge support bubble for me. As a mother of 3, I had fallen into the trap of always being 'too busy' to exercise. Rachel has been central to me finding a route back into exercise and bridging the gap between wanting to be fitter and healthier and actually achieving it. For someone who has never had a personal trainer I don't think I'd be without her now; she has transformed my fitness and overall well-being.

“
I really enjoy my personal training sessions, Rachel is positive, motivating and very knowledgable about exercise and fitness. Every week, Rachel tailors a different workout for me which reflects my goals and how my body is feeling. When I was recovering from an illness we did gentle stretching and grounding exercises which left me feeling awake, positive and energised. Rachel listens to me, manages my fitness and diet expectations and is very encouraging. When I ran for 30 mins (the first time in years), Rachel was the person I called afterwards to share my achievement! I highly recommend Rachel as a personal trainer.

I can’t thank Taskmaster fitness enough!!
Rachel has been a motivational, inspiring trainer and Taskmaster Fitness has been a godsend over the past year.
Taskmaster fitness addressed my fitness goals , my emotional well-being as well as coaching me through tough days. I couldn’t have asked for a better, well rounded , bespoke rescue package. I have always found the gym floor a daunting environment and would avoid it at all costs, sneaking off to hide at the back of another class. Rachel has coached me, addressed the reasons why I find the gym scary and has given me the courage to workout on the gym floor solo. This is not just personal training , this is a life changing , life future-proofing and the best decision I’ve made.
